The clinic

imageWhite Pine Acupuncture was founded in Asheville, NC by Sally Robinson in 2007. In 2013, Sally won first place in the acupuncture category and second place in the herbal healer category in the annual Best Of Mountain Xpress.  She also won second place for Best Acupuncturist in both 2017 and 2018.

Before studying Chinese medicine, Sally learned much about the healing arts from several Native American elders.  With immense gratitude she thanks Gatou Geshik Waymegwance, Ted Williams, and Steve Rice for sharing so much of their traditions and for truly seeing her potential.

When she opened her acupuncture clinic, Sally sought to create a peaceful place for her patients within which to practice her medicine. She wanted to create a respite from suffering so that people could begin transformative healing. With that in mind, she named the clinic White Pine in honor of the Tree of Peace.

According to Native American legend, five warring tribes peacefully united and buried their weapons under a white pine. This group became known as the Iroquois nation, and the white pine became the Tree of Peace.  Sally cultivates a peaceful inner life so that she may extend peacefulness into the outer world through her practice of acupuncture and herbal medicine.
