New patient appointment, $140: This is the initial visit as an acupuncture patient at White Pine. It lasts 2 hours, and includes a thorough review of your primary concerns, your health history, and an acupuncture treatment. It may also include moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and/or tui na. At the end of your new patient acupuncture appointment, your practitioner will give you a recommended course of treatment. Together, you can discuss a treatment plan that best fits your needs.
Acupuncture appointment, $80: This is a follow-up acupuncture appointment for existing patients. It is 1 hour in length, will include acupuncture. It may also include moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and/or tui na.
Children’s acupuncture, $40: This visit is for children, aged 12 and under. It is 30 minutes in length, and may include needling, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and/or tui na. We don’t always use needles in children’s appointments; we have other ways of stimulating acupoints, such as the tuning fork and acupressure. Don’t worry if your child can’t sit still for 30 minutes with acupuncture needles. The general rule of thumb for children is that needles are retained for one minute per year, i.e. 5 minutes for a 5-year-old.
Herbal medicine prescriptions are also available for interested acupuncture patients. The cost of herbs prescribed is in addition to the cost of the acupuncture treatment.
